Upland Bird Hunts
Sunflower Outfitters has thousands of acres of prime habitat on which to pursue Ringneck Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail and Greater Prairie Chicken. Upland hunts are fully guided walks through great cover accompanied by well-trained bird dogs. If you are a true upland enthusiast, you owe it to yourself to check out what we have to offer. Our two types of upland bird hunts are sure to provide what you are looking for.
Wild Bird Hunts
This is the “Real Deal”, busting through CRP grass and chest high cover in search of the birds. No freebies and no guarantees, except that you will get a workout. This is a physically demanding hunt, but the rewards are well worth it. Flushing a pointed rooster or a covey of quail is a true adrenaline rush that makes the boots lighter. Let us know if you have a preference of birds to pursue, and we can make a plan to hit spots more likely to yield your game of choice.

Released Bird Hunts (Pheasant or Chukar)
Want to spice things up a bit? We can supplement our local population with birds that can escape even the most experienced shooters. These hunts allow for a more tailored day, in terms of numbers seen and habitats covered. Not interested in burning as much boot leather per shot? This may be the hunt for you. Just let us know your objective for the hunt, and we will work hard to make it an enjoyable experience.
