Deer Hunts
While any legally harvested deer is a true trophy to be proud of, deer hunters know that Kansas offers the opportunity to take a truly exceptional animal. Known for their large body size and heavy antlers, Kansas bucks consistently populate the record books.
We are located in the heart of Units 7 and 8, and can hunt a wide array of habitats. Ladder stands and ground blinds are typically used to hunt travel corridors and food sources. Kansas trees do not generally accommodate climber stands readily. But if you have one and want to bring it, feel free to throw it in. We can always do a little tree trimming if the situation is right! Safety harnesses are required for all hunters who wish to utilize tree stands.
All hunts are 5 days and 6 nights. Transportation will be provided to and from your stand locations. Duration of the hunt can be planned based on your wishes. Hunt all day, or hunt for an hour. We understand the Kansas weather can play a large role in how long a hunt can last. Just remember to watch the forecast and be prepared for anything from 85° to -5°!
Sunflower Outfitters wants to provide hunters the opportunity to harvest mature deer. However, we are not in the business of penalizing hunters for taking their own personal trophy. In fact, we do things a little bit different. If a hunter wishes to harvest a management buck (fewer than 9 points and less than 140 inches) or doe, we will discount a future hunt by $250.00.
All deer hunters must have a Kansas Hunting License and a unit-specific deer permit. Additionally, all hunters born after July 1, 1957 must possess a valid Hunter Education card while in the field.
